The canton of Karlshafen was an administrative unit in the Kassel district of the Fulda department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main town of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the city of Karlshafen in today's district of Kassel . The canton comprised eight villages and hamlets and one city, had 3,013 inhabitants and an area of 1.66 square miles .
