Office Ibbenbüren

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ibbenbüren office was an office in what was then the Tecklenburg district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1974 . The seat of the office was in the city of Ibbenbüren .

history

As part of the introduction of the rural community order for the province of Westphalia , the Ibbenbüren office was formed from the previous mayor's office in the Tecklenburg district in the Prussian province of Westphalia . It consisted of the town of Ibbenbüren and the rural community Ibbenbüren , the latter also known as the Ibbenbüren parish.

The Ibbenbüren office was dissolved on December 31, 1974 by Section 21 of the Münster / Hamm Act . The two communities were merged. In addition, there were smaller areas of the (previous) communities of Hörstel, Ledde, Mettingen, Recke and Brochterbeck. On the other hand, Ibbenbüren lost smaller parts of the area to Mettingen and Recke.

The (new) city of Ibbenbüren is the legal successor to the office and belongs to the Steinfurt district .
