The Walsrode office was a historical administrative area of the Principality of Lüneburg and the Kingdom of Hanover .

history

The Walsrode office goes back to the Walsrode monastery , which was converted into a Protestant women's foundation in 1528. It managed a free float of 60 farms and a small administrative district, which included only a few buildings in Walsrode (monastery and domain) as well as the community of Vor-Walsrode and the village of Gräsbeck . The city of Walsrode, on the other hand, was loosely connected to the Rethem (Aller) office . In 1835 the office was canceled and incorporated into the Fallingbostel-Soltau District Bailiwick .
