Office Weather (County Mark)

The weather office was an administrative and judicial unit in the county of Mark with its seat in Wetter (Ruhr) .

The Wetter office was founded in the Middle Ages around the Wetter Castle . It comprised Dorf and Freiheit Wetter, Herdecke (town since 1739), Ende , Volmarstein , Oberwengern .

In 1753, the county constitution was introduced in the county of Mark as part of an administrative reform . The county was divided into four counties. The weather office was added to the Wetterer Kreis .
