The Amtshaus , full name of the margravial bailiff of Heilsbronn Monastery , is a two-storey, yellow-plastered corner building with a half-hipped roof in Hauptstrasse 8, at the corner of the market square of Merkendorf in the Franconian Lake District ( Middle Franconia ) and is a listed building.
construction
The core of the building is medieval and has been rebuilt several times so that the 18th and 19th centuries are visible. It was originally built for the Vogt of Heilsbronn Monastery . Later it was the seat of the bailiff of the Principality of Ansbach .
