Anadolu (magazine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anadolu was the first "newspaper for the Turks living in Germany ".

The Anadolu - Almanya'da yasayan Turklerin gazetesi ( Turkish : Anatolien - newspaper for the Turks living in Germany) was first published as a monthly by the German Bonn section of the CIAS (International Committee for Information and Social Action) from June 15, 1963 . The first editor-in-chief was the Turkish journalist Erdogan Olcayto .

After an empirical study had shown that the target group mainly used radio, television and cinema, the Federal Press Office decided in 1970, after consulting the Federal Ministry of Labor, not to support the magazine Anadolu and other “guest worker magazines”.

Anadolu was published until 1973. In 1964 the magazine was also published in Bremen .
