Anastrophe (sociology)

Under a Anastrophe ( Greek Αναστροφή = U-turn from ana = around, up and stréphein contact ) is understood in sociology ( Walter L. Buhl , Dieter Claessens ) the antonym of " disaster ": a comprehensive or local change for the better.

Examples are:

the end of the Second World War , which is still celebrated as a public holiday in many European countries
the currency reform of 1948 in the American , English and French occupation zones in Germany
