An installation acceptance (confirmation of proper installation ) is the assessment of the installation of vehicle parts for which there is a parts certificate from a technical service.

An operating license for a vehicle does not expire if the proper installation of the installed parts has been confirmed by a motor vehicle expert. This confirmation is only issued if

a) the part can be identified
b) a parts certificate according to Annex XIX Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) is available
c) the area of ​​use and the requirements have been complied with

Any vehicle inspection center can carry out this installation acceptance.

If no parts certificate is available, an acceptance according to § 21 StVZO ( individual operating permit ) is required.
