The Adorers of the Blood of Christ (Adoratrices Sanguinis Christi, abbreviation ASC) are a Catholic congregation of sisters.

history

The Adorers of the Blood of Christ were founded in 1834 by Maria de Mattias , who was canonized in 2003 , at the suggestion of Gaspare del Bufalo , founder of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood . From the beginning, the focus of her work was on founding schools. Today the Congregation is active in mission, evangelism and pastoral care.

The congregation spans four continental zones (Europe, America, Africa, Asia). In 2019 the congregation has 1178 members. The General House is in Rome . There is a German-speaking region that has its motherhouse in the St. Elisabeth monastery (Schaan) in Liechtenstein .
