Anderle Knoll

The Anderle Knoll is a deep sea mountain in the Antarctic Weddell Sea . It lies far off the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .
The name of the rock goes back to the surveyor and glaciologist Heinrich Hinze from the Alfred Wegener Institute and has been internationally recognized since 1997. It is named after the American mathematician Richard John Anderle (* 1926), an expert in the field of satellite geodesy .
