Aschelinus is different
Anders Henrici Aschelinus ( Finnish also Anterus Henrikinpoika Aschelinus ; died 1703 in Askainen ) was a Finnish Lutheran clergyman and poet.
Aschelinus came from Turku , attended the cathedral school there, where he also taught from 1688, and matriculated at the Royal Academy in 1683 . In 1703 he was appointed chaplain of the Lemu Chapel , but died that same year.
He wrote a few poems that make up a not inconsiderable part of the very manageable body of Baroque poetry in Finnish . These include a long poem about the great famine of 1697 ( Virsi suuresta nälästä ) and one about the Swedish victory in the battle of Narva in 1700 ( Suomen Ilo-ääni ylitzen sen vertamattoman Narvan voiton , printed 1702), as well as some poems of songs .
