Lemu [ lɛmu ] ( Swed. Lemo ) is a former municipality in the southwest Finland landscape Finland Proper . At the beginning of 2009, she was with Askainen to Masku incorporated.

The municipality Lemu had an area of ​​47.85 km² and last 1819 inhabitants. The center of Lemu is located a few kilometers inland, in the west the municipality had a share of the Baltic coast. Lemu originally belonged to the parish of Nousiainen , but became a separate parish in the Middle Ages. The oldest written mention of it comes from the year 1404. The stone church of Lemu was built between 1460 and 1480.
