The Anderson Heights are a roughly rectangular, over 2,400 m high and snow-covered high plateau in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It extends over an area of 11 km long and 10 wide between Mount Bennett and Mount Butters in the eastern section of the Bush Mountains .
The Heights were discovered and photographed on flights to the geographic South Pole as part of Operation Highjump (1946–1947) on February 16, 1947. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Lieutenant George H. Anderson of the United States Navy , who worked on that Day as the second pilot after the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd flew over the geographic South Pole.
