András Paróczai

András Paróczai (born May 11, 1956 in Jászladány , Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County ) is a former Hungarian middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1979 in Vienna, he won bronze. In 1980 he won silver at the European Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen and reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Moscow . At the Indoor European Championships in 1981 he won silver again.

Four times he was Hungarian champion over 800 m (1975, 1978-1980) and twice over 400 m (1979, 1980). In 1980 he won the national 800 m title indoors.
