André Kilchenmann

André Kilchenmann (* 1941 in Zurich ) is a professor emeritus for geography and geoecology at the University of Karlsruhe .

André Kilchenmann was one of the youngest German professors when he was appointed in early 1970. Until 2006 he held the chair for geography and geoecology with a focus on human ecology at the institute for geography and geoecology at the University of Karlsruhe. Kilchenmann was considered a pioneer of the quantitative revolution in German-speaking human geography . Kilchenmann lives in Èze near Nice in the south of France.
