André Krüger (sports historian)

André Krüger (born May 12, 1960 in Hanover ) is a German football historian . He has been a fan of the Australian national team since the 1974 World Cup . He is referred to in the Australian press as The Crazy German and the Socceroos ' biggest fan . Kruger made an important contribution to the documentation of Australian football history by collecting data on all international matches of the national team since 1922.

In 2006, Krüger was the only German to be included in the Australian Football Hall of Fame by the Australian Football Association. At the invitation of Rale Rašić , he took part in a meeting of the team that had represented Australia at the 1974 World Cup in 2003.
