André Laignel
André Laignel (born December 4, 1942 in Paris ) is a French politician of the Parti socialiste .
Life
From July 2, 1981 to May 14, 1988 Laignel was a member of the National Assembly . From 1988 to 1993 he was State Secretary in the governments of Michel Rocard and Édith Cresson . Laignel was a member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 2009 . From 2001 to 2012 he was general secretary of the French organization Association des maires de France (AMF), an association of French mayors.
