André Luiz Silva do Nascimento (born January 27, 1980 in São João del Rei ) is a former Brazilian soccer player . He played mainly in defense.
Career
Before moving to Atlético Mineiro in 2003, he played for Tupi Minas . In the summer of 2005 he signed a contract with AS Nancy , with which he won the Coupe de la Ligue in 2006. In March 2013 he moved to his Brazilian homeland for second division club Palmeiras São Paulo . To return to the Série A , Luiz contributed one goal in 21 games. At the end of the 2013 season, he ended his active career.
