André Sapir

André Sapir (born June 13, 1950 ) is a Belgian economist, professor at ECARES, the Free University of Brussels, senior research fellow at BRUEGEL and at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He is a member of the economic policy advisory team of the European Commission ; from 2001 to 2004 he was an advisor to the European Commission under Romano Prodi .
