Andrea Riedle

Andrea Riedle (* 1972 in Plochingen ) is a German historian .

Career

Riedle was born in 1972 in Plochingen, Baden-Württemberg .

She studied modern history and political science in Tübingen as well as political science and European studies in Exeter , England. From 2009 to 2011 she worked as a research assistant at the “Standing Conference of the Heads of Nazi Memorials in the Berlin Area”. Her dissertation, published in 2011, “The command staff in Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Social Structure, Career Paths and Biographical Studies ”was created at the Free University of Berlin .

From December 2012 to the end of 2019, Riedle was head of the scientific department and deputy head of memorial at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial of the Bavarian Memorials Foundation .

Since January 1, 2020 she has been director of the Topography of Terror Foundation in Berlin and succeeds Andreas Nachama , who retired at the end of November 2019.
