Andreas Anderegg (born February 1, 1957 in Bern ), former Swiss amateur and professional boxer , President of SwissBoxing since 2006 , journalist.

The Thurgau journalist Andreas Anderegg works as a freelance early retiree and was previously head of the communications department of the city of Frauenfeld for over nine years. Before that, he worked as a journalist for the Thurgauer Zeitung / Thurgauer Volkszeitung from 1988 to the end of 2008. His professional roots, however, lie in the technical field. After training as an electrician, Andreas Anderegg worked for eleven years from 1978 in the profession he had learned. During this time he was also able to celebrate some successes as a boxer - including winning 5 Swiss championship titles and several tournament victories at international level. The end of his career heralded on November 22, 1986 in the 12th professional fight a misstep that resulted in a broken leg. Then, at the age of 29, Anderegg set a new professional course.

Since 1982 he has lived with his wife in Bethelhausen in the Gachnang community .

From autumn 1997 to mid-2007, Andreas Anderegg was also a member of the municipal authority in the political community of Gachnang.

In the spring of 2006, the former amateur and professional boxer was elected President of the Swiss Boxing Association, which was renamed SwissBoxing at the 2009 delegates' meeting . The association comprises over 100 clubs and represents both Olympic boxing and professional boxing in Switzerland.
