Andreas Kumpf

Andreas Kumpf (born March 4, 1967 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German psychologist , author and gerontologist . His main research interests are happiness research and gerontology .

Life

Andreas Kumpf grew up in the Ruhr area and studied psychology at the Ruhr University Bochum , where he also received his doctorate . After graduating, he became a management consultant. In 1996 he moved to Austria. After almost 20 years of managing his consulting company with a focus on strategy and management development , he returned to scientific work. He is a founding member of a non-university research institute in Graz and was a guest lecturer at the private university in the Principality of Liechtenstein . Kumpf is director of the Institute for Happiness and Wellbeing Research in Baden near Vienna , which examines psychological factors that contribute to happiness in life and contented aging .
