Andreas Lange (sociologist)

Andreas Lange (born December 6, 1960 in Überlingen ) is a German sociologist who specializes in research and work on sociological diagnosis of the times, and sociology of children, adolescents and families.

Life

Lange studied sociology and psychology at the University of Konstanz from 1981 to 1987 . He received his doctorate in 1993 with a thesis on children's life in the country. In 2003 he completed his habilitation, also in Konstanz. He then worked until 2010 at the German Youth Institute in Munich in the Family and Family Policy department as a policy advisor for family studies. Since October 2010 he has been Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing University of Ravensburg-Weingarten (RWU) .

Lange is co-editor of the journal for the sociology of education and socialization and sits on the scientific advisory board of the specialist journals merz | media + education and child and youth protection in science and practice .
