Andreas Linfert (born May 15, 1942 in Berlin ; † May 21, 1996 in Cologne ) was a German classical archaeologist .

Andreas Linfert grew up in Cologne as the son of culture editor Carl Linfert , received his doctorate in Freiburg in 1965 and received a travel grant from the German Archaeological Institute in 1967/68 . He worked in Freiburg, Berlin and Athens until he became an assistant at the University of Cologne in 1974 and completed his habilitation there in 1974. From 1976 he was an extraordinary professor of classical archeology in Cologne and a full professor from 1982. The focus of Linfert's activity was the history of ancient art, especially sculpture, as well as wall painting.

Linfert was buried in the family grave in the Melaten cemetery in Cologne (hallway 88).
