Andreas Lorenz (politician, 1937)

Andreas Lorenz (born December 21, 1937 in Granschütz ) is a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Andreas Lorenz passed his Abitur in 1955. From 1955 to 1956 he studied economics at the University of Leipzig , then until 1968 in chemistry at the RWTH Aachen . Here he did his doctorate in chemistry (Dr. rer. Nat.). He then worked as a scientific officer. Afterwards he was a publicly appointed and sworn expert for fuels, fuels and lubricants at the IHK Aachen . He also acted as a lecturer for fuel chemistry at RWTH Aachen University.

Andreas Lorenz has been a member of the CDU since 1961. From 1975 to 1998 he was a member of the Aachen City Council.

From May 31, 1990 to June 1, 2000 he was a member of the 11th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia , which he entered via the state list, and a directly elected member of the 12th Landtag for the 001 Aachen I constituency.

In 2004, Andreas Lorenz was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
