Andreas Mettler (born July 13, 1968 in Aach (Hegau) ) is a game developer and game designer known from the home computer sector.

Game developer for the Commodore 64

In 1986 Andreas Mettler started developing computer games for the C64 home computer from Commodore. These were marketed by different distributors such as Software 2000 and EAS . According to his own information, Andreas Mettler published more than 40 titles by 1991. The most well-known developments include the games Limes & Napoleon from 1989 and OBY 1 from 1991, for which conversions for the Amiga and Atari-ST computer systems were also created. Most of his computer games were re-released on CD-ROM in 2005 for the C64-Classix collection . In 2015, the graphics and game music for the unpublished last game Outside were rediscovered and could be made available to retrogaming groups for the first time.

Further game developments

Between 2002 and 2009 Andreas Mettler published various browser games for the Flash player . These have now been partially discontinued due to the decreasing relevance of the Flash platform. Mettler has been developing satirical card games since 2014, which he produces himself in a specially set up factory and sells by direct mail.
