Andreas Stumptner (* in Munich ) is a German journalist .

Professional career

Stumptner began his journalistic career with the "BRK Echo" of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK). After several internships, in 1995 he moved to Entertainment Media Verlag (EMV) in the editorial team of the specialist magazine "Entertainment Markt". In 2003 the specialist editor was promoted to editor-in-chief for the home entertainment sector. From 2004, Stumptner was deputy editor-in-chief at EMV, and from 2006 as editor-in-chief for the specialist magazines VideoMarkt and "VideoWoche", their channels in the online specialist service mediabiz.de as well as special issues such as "High Definition", "DVD Entertainment", "Duplication & more" and "Store & more" responsible.

From 2000 to 2008 Stumptner played a key role in organizing the annual EMV industry congress "Video Entertainment" (formerly DVD Entertainment) and the award ceremony "Video Night" (formerly "DVD Night") in Munich.

In December 2008 he switched to WEKA Media Publishing in Poing near Munich. There Stumptner is editor-in-chief of the home entertainment test magazine video and, since 2010, the specialist magazine for home networking, Connected Home. Since 2011, Stumptner has also been the head of entertainment electronics and is responsible for the audio and stereoplay hi-fi titles in addition to video and connected home.
