Andreas Weiland

Andreas Weiland (born September 9, 1966 in Offenbach am Main ) is a former German automobile racing driver .

Career

Andreas Weiland took part in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring several times in his amateur motorsport career . There he started in a Porsche 911 GT3 R (type 996) in 2000 together with Harald Weiland, Mathias Weiland and Kersten Jodexnis and achieved fourth place overall.

From 2001 to 2006 he drove together with Ralph-Peter Rink with his own Weiland-Rink-Racing team in the Honda Civic-Cup of the VLN endurance championship Nürburgring . From 2007 the team fielded a Porsche 911 GT3 R.

In 2007 and 2008 he started the 24-hour race with a Honda Civic Type R from pole position in the SP Cup class. In 2009 and 2010 he started for the Scuderia Offenbach team with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 997) in the SP9-GT class - but could not finish the race.

In 2015 he started again in the 24-hour race with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (type 997) in the SP7 class.
