Kersten Jodexnis (born December 29, 1956 in Berlin ) is a German insurance company based in Hanover . He has taken over the general insurance agency, which his grandfather Karl founded and his father Kurt continued to run, in the third generation and expanded it into a group of companies in the insurance industry.

education

After graduating from high school in 1974 and working as a diving instructor on the Spanish islands, Kersten Jodexnis completed his training as an insurance salesman in Hanover from 1976 to 1978, with experience abroad in London and Graz. After internships at the BfG-Bank and the general agency Karl Jodexnis, he completed a broker training course at Willis, Faber & Dumas in London in 1981. Since then he has been an underwriting member of Lloyd’s , London.

Professional career

Kersten Jodexnis began his career in 1981 as an assistant to the board at Elektro-Dauer-Garantie Reparaturversicherung AG in Hanover. He is a managing partner of WERTGARANTIE predecessor Video Maintenance Ring GmbH & Co . associated with this group since 1979. In addition, he has held managing director positions at Cotronic Computergroßhandel GmbH & Co. KG in Graz, Vereinigte Versicherungsmakler GmbH in Chemnitz, Race Car Cover Versicherungsmakler GmbH, Hygolet Rent GmbH and Electro Rent GmbH , Hanover.

Since 1989 he has been managing director of JODEXNIS Versicherungsmakler GmbH with offices in Hanover and Berlin. With the company, he has also relied on lifestyle products such as smartphones, pets and racing vehicles and racing drivers, which have an above-average growth rate. Wertgarantie AG, whose main shareholder is Jodexnis, is an established niche insurer with more than 600 employees and 240 million euros in gross premium income. In 2015 the company will distribute around 5 million euros. Kersten Jodexnis holds 30 percent of the company and his family 95 percent. As a business angel , Kersten Jodexnis invested in JimDrive , an alternative automobile club , Simplesurance , an online insurance broker and Horse Analytics , an app developer for horse owners. He also initiated the promotion of Internet start-ups in the insurance industry, e. B. the travel cancellation platform Alcandia and the broker platform Virado, and founded Clickvers.de . In March 2018, Jodexnis co-invested in the start-up Smartjobr, which developed an app to place freelancers and clients.

Racing driver

Jodexnis has been a passionate racing driver since 1994 and regularly drives his Porsche 911 at the Nürburgring . There was an accident with a current Porsche 997 in 2016 . The Clickvers-Porsche has been looked after and used by Chrzanowski-Racing since 2015 .

Jodexnis has already completed 24 starts in the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring. In September 2019 he and his Clickvers team won a podium at the 24h Barcelona race.

Private

Kersten Jodexnis has a son and a daughter. Politically, he is a member of the Lower Saxony FDP. He was treasurer at the Kestner Museum in Hanover for more than 10 years .
