Andreas Willmsen

Andreas Willmsen (born October 3, 1899 in Verden ; † October 18, 1980 Verden) was a German politician ( DP ). From 1947 to 1951 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Willmsen first attended elementary school and then high school. He graduated from secondary school and completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1914 to 1916. After completing his apprenticeship, he was a soldier in World War I and after his return he worked in his father's business. From 1927 he was a state lottery holder. From 1943 to 1944 he was obliged to serve in the fire police, after which he was in World War II. After returning from captivity, he began to be politically active. In 1946 he was elected to the municipal council of Verden and also mayor of the city. From 1947 to 1951 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the first electoral term. From March 1951 as a member of the DP / CDU parliamentary group.
