Andreas Zaby

Andreas Zaby (born September 15, 1968 ) is Professor of Business Administration and President of the Berlin School of Economics and Law .

biography

education and profession

Zaby studied business administration at the University of Bayreuth and at San Diego State University from 1989 to 1994 . In 1998 he completed his doctorate with Dodo zu Knyphausen-Aufseß at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . He has German and US citizenship.

He initially worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in Munich and Zurich. In 2000 he was a founding board member of a biopharmaceutical company.

University

In 2008 he moved to the Berlin School of Economics and Law, where Zaby works as a professor for international management. He also teaches innovation and technology management, as well as entrepreneurial finance. Since 2010 he has also been a member of the university management. On April 1, 2016, he was elected to the office of president of the university.

Zaby is the spokesman for the group of universities of applied sciences in the Berlin State Conference of Rectors and Presidents (LKRP). He is also chairman of UAS7 , an alliance of seven leading, research-oriented universities of applied sciences in Germany with an international focus.
