Ondřej z Dubé (also German Andreas von Dauba ; * around 1320, † 1412 or 1413 in Zlenice ) was a district judge, master of the royal chamber and from 1361 to 1394 the highest district judge.

Life

The son of Ondřej z Dubé († around 1361) and lord of the Zlenice Castle came from the Bohemian aristocratic family of the Dauba . In 1368/1369 he accompanied Emperor Charles IV on his trip to Italy. After Charles's death he became an advisor to his son and successor Wenceslaus IV. As one of the few representatives of the high nobility, he stood up for the right of kings. In 1394, however, he switched to the opposing Estates. King Wenceslas then removed him from all his offices. After they were reconciled again, Andreas supported the regent in amending the state order. In 1405 he was appointed judge of the old Bohemian district of Kaurzim .
