Andrei Mikhailovich Alexandrov

Andrei Michailowitsch Alexandrow ( Russian Андрей Михайлович Александров ; code name: Agentow; * 1918 ; † 1993 ) was a Russian-Soviet diplomat and advisor to four Kremlin chiefs.

Alexandrov studied German and graduated from the Scandinavian department of the Philosophical Faculty of Leningrad University. From 1940 to 1942 he was a consultant in the TASS office in Stockholm and then an attaché. In 1947 he became 2nd Secretary of the Representation in Stockholm and later held a leading position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministerstvo Inostrannych Del / MID).

From 1964 to 1986 he was an employee and personal assistant to the four general secretaries of the CPSU Central Committee , Leonid Brezhnev , Yuri Andropov , Konstantin Chernenko and Mikhail Gorbachev .
