Andrejs Mamikins
Andrejs Mamikins (born March 11, 1976 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ) is a Latvian journalist and politician in the Saskaņa party . In the European elections in 2014 he was elected to the European Parliament , of which he was a member until 2019.
biography
Mamikin's parents moved to Riga shortly after his birth , where he graduated from school and university . He then worked as a journalist for various newspapers, radio stations and television. From 2007 he moderated the discussion program "bez cenzūras" ("Without censorship"). In the European elections in 2014 , he was surprisingly elected from fourth place in the list of the Saskaņa party in the European Parliament without any previous experience in politics .
