Andrew England Kerr

Andrew Robert England Kerr (born September 23, 1958 in Birmingham ) is a British politician . From the 2019 European elections to January 31, 2020, he was a member of the European Parliament for the Brexit Party .

Life

England Kerr was born in Birmingham on September 23, 1958. Since 1985 he has been a solicitor specializing in property law . In 1986 he founded England Kerr Hands & Co , where he is the managing director.

European Parliament

England Kerr voted for Brexit in 2016 . He supports Brexit because he considers the European Union (EU) to be corrupt and undemocratic.

In the 2019 elections for the European Parliament, he ran at number three on the list of his party and was elected as one of three MPs for the West Midlands constituency.

In the European Parliament he was a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy as well as part of the delegations for parliamentary cooperation with Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan , Uzbekistan , Tajikistan and for relations with Turkmenistan and Mongolia .

From September 29, 2019, he sat as a non-attached member of the European Parliament after there were supposed to be differences in the form of a conflict of interest and the Brexit Party expelled him from the parliamentary group. Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage said in a television interview that Kerr would "make comments about a company and product in which he is directly involved".
