Andromachus the Younger

Andromachus , called the Younger , ( ancient Greek Ἀνδρόμαχος Andrómachos , Latin Andromachus ) is attested in Galen's writings as the son of Andromachos the Elder .

Like his father, he also worked as a doctor and wrote a pharmaceutical treatise in three books, which, among other things, was devoted to ophthalmology . In addition, he dealt with antidotes and Galenus drew extensively from the work of Andromachos in the second book of his work De antidotis .
