Andrew Roger Melville (born November 29, 1968 in Swansea ) is a former Welsh football player . In the beginning he played in midfield, but later in defense.
He started his career at Swansea City before moving to Oxford United for £ 275,000 in July 1990 . He later also played for Sunderland AFC , Bradford City , Fulham FC before retiring at West Ham United and Nottingham Forest . He also made 65 appearances for the Welsh national football team .
In July 2009 he had a brief assignment as an assistant coach at Oxford United .
