Angela Faber

Angela Faber (born July 9, 1961 in Borken ) is a German lawyer .

Life

She attended the Remigianum grammar school from 1971 to 1980 and studied law at the University of Münster from 1980 to 1986 . From 1987 to 1989 she completed her legal clerkship at the Münster Regional Court . In the winter semester 1987/1988 she studied at the University of Administrative Sciences . In 1989 she completed the elective position at the German Information Center in New York. From 1990 to 1992 she was a research assistant at the Freiherr vom Stein Institute at the University of Münster. After completing her doctorate with Werner Hoppe in 1992 on the subject of European law limits to municipal economic development , she was an official at the Federal Government's Press and Information Office from 1992 to 1994. In 1993 she completed the civil service rehearsal as a press officer at the German Embassy in Washington DC. From 1994 to 1998 she headed the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Institut at the University of Münster. After completing her habilitation with Werner Hoppe in 2000 on the topic: Social self-regulation systems in environmental law, venia legendi for public law and European law, she has been the main speaker at the North Rhine-Westphalia district assembly in Düsseldorf since 2001. From 2008 to 2015 she was the main speaker at the German Association of Cities in Cologne. Since the unanimous election on January 26, 2015 by the 14th Landscape Assembly of the Rhineland Regional Council (LVR) in Cologne, she has been the LVR department head for schools and integration.
