The power plant Hadong is a coal power plant in South Korea , which the Yellow Sea km east, about 10 of the city of Gwangyang , district Hadong , Province Gyeongsangnam-do is located. With an installed capacity of 4  GW , it is one of the most powerful coal-fired power plants in South Korea.

The power plant serves to cover the base load . It is owned by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) but is operated by Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd. (KOSPO) operated. The contract for the first two blocks was awarded in 1992; construction began in September 1993.
