Angelika Kuss-Bergner

Angelika Kuss-Bergner (born November 6, 1972 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and teacher. Kuss-Bergner was a member of the Austrian National Council from January 24, 2018 to June 11, 2019 .

Career

Angelika Kuss-Bergner is a qualified primary school teacher and holds a Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed. ) degree . She was the entrusted headmistress of the Tainach and St. Magarethen school association from 2013 to 2018 and is also active in urban politics. For the ÖVP Völkermarkt , Kuss-Bergner is city councilor and parliamentary group leader in the local council of her hometown, in November 2018 she was elected community party leader of the ÖVP Völkermarkt. She is also active as a trade unionist and employee representative.

In the 2017 National Council election in Austria , she ran for the Austrian People's Party in third place on the Carinthian state list . Due to the preferential vote result, she finally did not get a seat in the National Council in the election, but was able to succeed as a member of the National Council on January 24, 2018 after Elisabeth Köstinger moved to the Federal Government.

Private life

Angelika Kuss-Bergner is married to a career officer and has four children.
