In medicine, angiomatosis is the occurrence of several (multiple) angiomas . These are tumors in the area of the blood and lymph vessels that can arise in the event of a weakened immune system, for example in the case of AIDS . They occur more frequently in bacillary angiomatosis and in the context of various syndromes, such as Hippel-Lindau syndrome , Klippel-Trénaunay-Weber syndrome and Sturge-Weber syndrome . If the change comes from the lymph vessels, it is called lymphangiomatosis .
