An angioma (also called a spongy blood spongy or aneurysm spongiosum ) is a tumor-like formation of new blood vessels or a developmental malformation.

Vascular malformation
These vascular malformations lead to a direct transfer of blood from an artery to a vein . This direct transition can consist of a greater or lesser number of abnormal blood vessels.

- Cavernoma (cavernous hemangioma)
- arteriovenous malformation (AVM)
- Senile angioma
They pose a risk of bleeding, especially in the brain.
