The angler loop is a node that is particularly suitable for applying loops in smooth nylon tendons or elastic cords.

As a loop on the leader. It is used, according to its name, to attach fishhooks to fishing line, but also to attach rubber ropes for bungee jumping . The fishing loop pulls very tight under load and is difficult to loosen again.
