history
The classifieds platform was founded in 2004 in Lausanne by Laurent Boatto. In 2009 anibis GmbH was taken over by the Media Swiss Group Flamatt. In 2012 the name of the Media Swiss Group was changed to a holding company, which was restructured to Ringier AG in June of the same year. This time was marked by fierce competition between the three classifieds and falling income with high investments. In 2014 anibis.ch merged with Scout24 Schweiz AG. In 2016, Scout24 Schweiz AG bought the free advertisements GmbH and was able to further expand its market position, particularly in German-speaking Switzerland.
