Anja Brüggler (born March 31, 1989 ) is a former Austrian natural track tobogganist . She achieved third place in the doubles with Rupert Brüggler in the overall ranking of the Intercontinental Cup 2005/2006 and twice in sixth place at the Junior World and European Championships .

Career

Anja Brüggler started tobogganing on natural track in 2002. In winter 2004/2005 she achieved seventh place overall in the Intercontinental Cup in a single seater. In the seasons 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 she started together with Rupert Brüggler in a two-seater. In both years they achieved a podium position, with which they achieved third place in the 2005/2006 season and sixth place in the 2006/2007 season. Together they also took part in the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and in the Junior European Championships in 2007 in St. Sebastian , where they each finished sixth. In addition, they were Austrian junior champions in doubles in 2006 and 2007.

In the summer of 2007, Anja Brüggler also competed in roller luge competitions , both in single and double seats. From 2008 to 2010 she did not take part in any competitions, but in 2011 she started again in a race of the Austrian Roller Luge Cup .
