Anke-Eve Goldmann

Anke-Eve Goldmann (born November 27, 1930 ) is a former German motorcycle journalist . She worked for the motorcycle magazines Cycle World , Motorrad and Moto Revue , among others .

In the 1950s she drove long and circuit motorcycle races on the Nürburgring and the Hockenheimring . Due to the misogynistic attitude in motorsport at the time, she was denied a corresponding career.

The German manufacturer Harro made one of the first one-piece leather suits for them .

In 1958 she co-founded the Women's International Motorcycle Association in Europe.

Initially, she mainly drove BMW models. In 1972 she switched to an MV Agusta 750S .

After the accident of a close friend, she gave up riding a motorcycle. In the following years she traveled through the countries of back India .

André Pieyre de Mandiargues designed the main character "Rebecca" of the novel "La Motocyclette" based on her model.
