Anke Schröder

Anke Schröder (born January 2,  1957 in Bremen , married Anke Hillebrand ) is a former German basketball player .

career

The 2.02 meter tall indoor player wore the shirt of the German national team in 65 international A matches between 1979 and 1983. At the European Championships in 1981 she scored 17.9 points per game and was thus the best German basket scorer in the course of the tournament, as was the case at the European Championship in 1983, when she got an average of 15.9 points.

Schröder played for TuS 04 Leverkusen and Agon Düsseldorf and won the German championship seven times. After her competitive sports career, the indoor player, who took the surname Hillebrand when she married, played in the Leverkusen senior team and won several German championship titles.
