Arrive is from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees made available to app for smartphones with which it refugees to get to fall more easily in Germany integrate . The app is divided into different sections. In addition to the language course, there is a section entitled “Asylum, training, work”, which explains what needs to be observed when registering in an initial reception facility and what exactly happens during a medical examination. It also explains what to do if an asylum application is rejected. It also explains that, for example, school attendance in Germany is free, how childcare works in kindergartens and crèches in Germany, how to get a work permit and that employers are forced to pay a fixed minimum wage due to the law.
The software is aimed at people with little or no knowledge of the German language and provides, among other things, basic knowledge in the areas of eating, shopping, living, working, health and medical care.
Language versions, data traffic
As of January 2016, there are five languages to choose from, which can be selected in the app: Arabic , English , Farsi , French and German . The app, which is around 42 megabytes in size, is available for download so that there is no longer any need for data traffic via a mobile network.
