The investment ordinance is a German federal ordinance that defines the investment principles for tied assets for insurance companies. In doing so, it specifies Section 124 of the German Insurance Supervision Act . It consists of seven paragraphs and the inclusion and closing formula.

On February 26, 2015, the Federal Cabinet passed a draft amendment that came into force on April 22, 2016.
