Ann Elise Strother (born December 11, 1983 in Castle Rock , Colorado , United States ) is a professional basketball player. She currently plays for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association .

Career

college

Strother played for the University of Connecticut women's basketball team until 2006 . In total, she completed 143 games for the University of Connecticut, with an average of 12.9 points per game.

Women's National Basketball Association

Ann Strother was selected 15th by the Houston Comets in the 2006 WNBA Draft . Strother was not long a Comets player, shortly after the draft she was transferred to the Phoenix Mercury for Liz Shimek and Mistie Williams . However, Strother missed some games in the 2006 season due to an injury. Furthermore, when she played only a little playing time, she got as the Mercury had many high-quality guards on the team. This then also led to her being transferred to the Indiana Fever for Olympia Scott .

In the 2008 season , the Atlanta Dream joined the WNBA and in the expansion draft , Atlanta decided, among other things, for Strother, who has thus played for the Atlanta Dream since the 2008 season.
